Bamboo Tablet Issues

So painting on this tablet is great. Much better than anything else I've used.

But there's been an issue bothering me lately...
When I've got the pen making contact with the tablet and painting a stroke, it acts perfectly fine. But when I take it away from the tablet to paint another stroke, it will act as though it's still making contact and will continue to paint.
To me it seems like the contact time is too high. It can't react fast enough to keep up with the quick moving and fast creation of new strokes.

Is there any solution to this?

its killing me!!
so this is a bit vague, but i've been googling like hell and cant find this out:
what im looking for is the name of the place thats the following:

desert-like flats covered in very shallow water, maybe a couple inches.
looks like glass, very reflective.
ive seen it in tv commercials. i think its somewhere in australia maybe?

Satellite pictures of earth.

I'm looking to make some planet textures from real pictures of earth from above, but I can't find a site that supplies high-res shots like this.

I did this once before for this piece, but I obviously need more practice with it :P
